Heading to Rome's center, pass the beautiful Santa Maria del Popolo Church and hear interesting tales and legends such as how the hated Emperor Nero was buried near this church. Continue to the Spanish Steps that lead elegantly down from the church of Trinita dei Monti before taking a break by the majestic Trevi Fountain.
Continue with a stroll through Piazza Colonna, a stylish square considered by the ancient Romans as the center of the city. Then, enjoy a fantastic photo opportunity at the world-famous Pantheon, a unique historic temple with sleek marble columns. Murano, Burano and Torcello Half-Day Sightseeing Tour
Explore the famous islands of the Venice lagoon - Murano, Burano and Torcello - on a half-day excursion. You'll see a glass-blowing display on Murano, shop for lace on Burano and visit Venice's first church on the tranquil island of Torcello. This morning or afternoon tour is a great introduction to the magical islands of the Venetian lagoon.
Boarding a comfortable motor boat, you'll speed along the Venetian lagoon to Murano, famous for its glassware. During the visit you'll explore shops, factories and watch the skilled glass-blowers as they create works of art. You'll also have time to visit a museum showcasing the world-famous Murano glass.
Re-board your motor boat you'll journey to the island of Burano to admire picturesque fishermen's houses painted in bright pastel colors, and, of course, the famous lace. You can visit a museum dedicated to the craft of lace, and purchase the beautiful lace at local shops.
The last island stop is Torcello, the earliest center of civilization in the Venetian lagoon. You'll see the cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, founded in the 7th century, and the excavated remains of the circular baptistery in the church of Santa Fosca.

Pisa Half-Day Trip from Florence Including Skip-the-Line Leaning Tower of Pisa Ticket
Meet your guide in central Florence and board your air-conditioned coach to travel west to Pisa. Gaze out at the scenery on your 1.5-hour journey, admiring Tuscany’s stunning landscape, typified by gently rolling hills and villages.
Travel into the center of Pisa and hop off your coach to explore Cathedral Square, home to architectural delights galore. See Duomo di Pisa – the city cathedral – as well as Pisa Baptistry, Campo Santo and the undeniable showstopper: the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Stop for photos by the iconic monument, and learn about its history and status as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Then, either enjoy some free time to sightsee independently, or continue your tour through town, passing the Church of San Sisto – one of the oldest churches in Pisa. Admire its stone-clad Romanesque architecture, and then head into Knights’ Square – an area that was Pisa’s political center during the Middle Ages. See Scuola Normale di Pisa, a renowned university founded by Napoleon Bonaparte in the 1800s, and stop next to Conte Ugolino Tower to learn about its role in Dante Alighieri’s famous Divine Comedy poem.
Admire the mix of Renaissance and medieval buildings as you amble past the house where the 18th-century Italian poet Giacomo Leopardi once lived. Stroll through Piazza Arcivescovado and gaze in awe at the impressive Palazzo Vescovile, a resplendent palace-turned-hotel.
After a break for a snack or drink in town (own expense), both groups meet back at a pre-arranged point near the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Head past the monument's long entrance lines with your skip-the-line ticket, and then walk up the 294-step spiral staircase to enjoy unforgettable views from the top!
Return to your coach and travel back to Florence, finishing your tour with a drop-off at the start point.
Please note: If you have no head for heights, walking difficulties or aversion to enclosed spaces, the Leaning Tower of Pisa climb probably won’t be for you. Use the time to relax at leisure in Cathedral Square, instead. Later in the evening back to Florence.

Stay on Line A (red line) for its total 90-minute route and pass by the 14th-century Castello Sforzesco (Sforza Castle), the world-renowned La Scala opera house and Piazza Duomo, the square where Milan Cathedral (Duomo) stands.
Line B (blue line) boasts highlights including the historic Porta Venezia city gate, Il Cenacolo Vinciano and Palazzo Lombardia, home to Milan’s modern skyscrapers. Jump aboard line C (green line) to see the Monumental Cemetery or San Siro football stadium. Then, disembark at San Babila to browse the luxury stores on Milan’s fashionable Via Montenapoleone.
Pick out the places that you want to see most and create your own perfect sightseeing experience. Want a closer look at one of Milan’s landmarks? Go ahead and get off the bus. Your ticket is valid for 48 hours from your first ride and you can jump on and off as much as you like during this period.
All three hop-on hop-off bus routes are interconnected, making it easy to swap and switch between them.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and board your flight back to your home or continue with onwards journey.
